Extra Curricular    The college believes in offering to the society multifaceted dynamic young women and thus lays stress on an all-round development of its students. The students are encouraged to take part in the various extra-curricular activities like the annual sports meet, the Foundation day celebrations and the annual college Social. The college also has an active NSS unit.

NSS Unit : The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Government Project recognized by the UGC. Its aim is National Integration through exchange of thoughts and spread of education and awareness among the poverty-stricken masses. The motto of the programme is to serve the distressed. This programme includes all the College level and University level institutions. The NSS unit of BGC has gained force since April 2002, under the guidance of Kalyani University. It has undertaken a village adoption project and adopted two villages - 'Mankara' in Bhakuri II grampanchayat and 'Balarampur Dakshin' under Haridasmati grampanchayat. The unit arranges special camps in these villages every year. Students conduct awareness drives on health and hygiene and economic upliftment for the villagers. Special themes for special camps are decided every year by the Central Body and special camps have already been organised in support of important issues like water conservation and AIDS awareness.
There is provision for more than one unit in this college. Each units needs to have at least 100 students and one NSS Officer as guide. Students who take up NSS will have to continue for at least two years and complete 240 hours of work for the entire period and attend at least one special camp. A certificate is issued from the Kalyani University after completion of two years of successful participation. The NSS certificate is a prestigious certificate.

College Magazine : The Berhampore Girls' College Magazine is an annual publication comprising of contributions from Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff Members and the College Students. It is a platform for sharing scientific knowledge and expressing literary expertise and nurturing of artistic ambitions of enthusiastic students and amateurs.

The Students' Union : Cultural ProgrammeEach student of Berhampore Girls' College is a member of the Students' Union and annually participates in the election of office bearers, namely The General Secretary and the Secretaries of the different wings of activity, viz., Magazine, Cultural, Games and Sports, and Science. The Union organizes the annual social function of the College. The Principal is the President of the Students' Union. The Students' Union holds office for one full academic session. The Cabinet of the Students' Union will help the authority of the College to have shared experience between the teachers and the students. The Students' Union cannot arrange any programme/meeting with any political party. This rule will remain in force.

Environmental Awareness and Voluntary Blood Donation Scheme : The College offers an opportunity to its students to familiarise themselves with environmental issues. College students organise blood donation camps annually.

Students' Health Home : The College runs a Health Home. A recognized medical practitioner of the locality is attached to it. He comes to the College once in a week and treats such students who need medical attention.

Sports
Sports : Over the years the students of the College had significant achievements in Inter College Sports and District Sports competitions. The College organizes an Annual Sports Meet in December-January involving both students and staff. It is one of the most popular and much awaited events of the College.
