I am happy at this opportunity to welcome everybody to the website of Berhampore Girls' College. I am sure this website will benefit all the students, past & present and those aspiring admission to our college, and the well wishers by providing them the much needed information as well as current news of the college. I consider the launching of this website to be a milestone in the path of development of the college - with it we entered the World Wide Web. This site will be updated regularly and we hope to add more features in days to come. Suggestions for improvement are also welcome.
Our College will complete sixty years in 2006. Berhampore Girls' College has definitely been able to find a place in the academic map of West Bengal. It is the first Govt. sponsored girls' college in the state of West Bengal and I am proud to say that our students can be found in every nook and corner of this district and in the adjoining districts as well. This college has been spreading the light of education among the women of this backward district for the last sixty years with great success. Our past is glorious, I have no doubt that the future will be brighter.
The last year has been very active. A lot of Important Events which took place during 2004 - 2005 is provided in this site. I appeal to every well wisher of this college to come forward with help for the betterment of the college.
